Our Celebration
June 18, 2017
100 years of service to God is a major milestone! St. Peter's celebrated this milestone with a special centennial church service followed by a fellowship dinner at the American Legion Post.
Former pastors who attended the celebration were Pastor Robert Salge, Pastor Peter Boe and Pastor Ben Worley who gave the sermon.
Our History
Sept. 2, 1917
100 years ago, the small congregation of the newly formed St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brunsville dedicated their "new" church.
They started small and have had many changes but through sacrifice, dedication and God's faithfulness their church grew.
The Church Centennial Celebration
plans were highlighted in the
LeMars Daily Sentinel.
"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into His presence with singing!
Know that the Lord is God! It is He that made us,
and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise!
Give thanks to Him, bless His name!
For the Lord is good; His steadfast love endures for ever,
and His faithfulness to all generations." Psalm 100
